If I was to type white font onto a black background in a word program… that would be a negative. You can then use the printer to print on the special film that comes with the kit. Once you have your negative you are ready to make your stamp.

I thoroughly recommend buying the Stampmaker kit and the printer. The printer guarantees the printing of a successful negative. This is paramount to making a good stamp. Because this is a light sensitive process. Setting up the printer with your Mac is very simple and instructions are included in the printer box.
